We desire for Saturday night and Sunday mornings to be a time of celebration due to the fact that we serve an awesome God who loves us so much. He fills us with joy, hope, and gives us the ability to live abundant lives. We gather together to worship the Lord and to receive instruction and encouragement from the Word of God (The Bible). We want everyone who enters to be able to say..."Surely God is in this place!"
How we are different from other churches in the community?
Let us begin by saying that we support and walk in unity with all Bible Believing churches in Katy and the churches around the world. Every local church has its own, vision, values, and personality from which the Lord has called them to operate and reach their community. Life Church is no different. This statement does not distract from what God is doing in the other churches of our community, but rather informs you of how God has personally directed this church to care for the Katy community.
The church is built around relationships...our relationship with Jesus and our relationships with other Believers. Many churches seek to reach people through programs and activities. We seek to reach people through relationships which we develop through LifeCells.
Another area of difference is that we see all Believers as ministers and believe that all Believers need to be discipled and raised up as leaders. We see all Believers fulfilling the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12). Being a minister does not mean that you are called to preach from the pulpit, but rather we strongly believe that all Believers have gifts and talents that the Lord wants to use. We see all Believers reaching out to the unchurched with the loving arms of Jesus and fulfilling the Great Commission. We desire to be a church that is an army of disciples, not an audience of people. We do not want spectators in the church. We desire to see all Believers fulfill their destiny with God and empowered to be mighty disciples for the Lord.
